  • reconnaissance

Description

Utilizing its Cellular Visual Technology (CVT) AnaLogic/Eutecus has been involved in the development of an autonomous visual terrain recognition and visual navigation system in cooperation with various research institutions including NASA-JPL.

Building on the capabilities of the Bi-i smart camera platform (also embedding CVM/CNN microprocessors), the system can recognize and track certain geological features of interest or typical objects when mounted on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).

AnaLogic/Eutecus has incorporated the feature classification functions crucial in this and many other classification tasks into its InstantVision software libraries.

The terrain classification solutions can be easily generalized to other surveillance/reconnaissance problems - the InstantVision libraries running on the Bi-i system ensure a rapid application prototyping.
