MVE™ is an easily configurable, compact, high-performance processing architecture that can be used to implement complete video analytics solutions in a single FPGA. MVE™-enabled devices (intelligent cameras, DVRs and other edge devices) can detect multiple events in parallel (e.g. forbidden zone, lost/abandoned object, loitering, wrong direction in traffic, illegal lane change, etc.) in video streams of up to HD 720p image resolution at 30 frames per second.
ReCo™ V1 is the first implementation of a complete small form factor camera powered by the MVE™ System-on-Chip solution implementing the entire video analytics solution in a single low-cost FPGA chip. Combined with the exceptional image quality provided by the Pixim WDR sensor chipset, ReCo™ V1 can be readily deployed as a stand-alone video event detection solution for 24/7 indoor surveillance. Application areas of ReCo™ V1 IP camera include asset protection, office or residential monitoring, retail analysis or banking security.
ReCo™ V1 can be easily customized to fit specific needs for rapid deployment. For application development, the system integrator can simply control the MVE™ from a C++ environment through the system API, or utilize Eutecus’ ready-made MVE™ Evaluation Kit, which enables the evaluation and demonstration of a wide variety of video analytics functions by simply configuring MVE™ via a user-friendly GUI.
ReCo™ V1 can also be utilized as an IP camera reference design. The Bi-i™ V401XR VA platform design includes the Xilinx Spartan-3A DSP 3400A™ FPGA chip, SDRAM and FLASH memory for application programming and storage. Space remains on the FPGA to satisfy additional processing and control requirements.
Please contact Eutecus, Inc. about ordering the ReCo™ V1 smart IP camera for evaluation, and to discuss licensing and using the full camera development kit including the complete hardware reference design as well as software tools and libraries.
